FactualVR, Inc. (dab HyperTunnel) was founded with the goal to improve justice, by providing the best possible tools for forensic investigations to replicate and communicate the facts around crime and accident scenes. We were selected as one of the winners of the 2018 NIST First Responder Heads-Up Display (HUD) Challenge.

We ventured into the Electric Utility training and field support solutions given the potential of our technology to help in the preparation for, and handling of dire situations, major events or natural disasters. In 2018, the company was awarded a SBIR grant (Phase I and later a Phase II) by the Department of Energy (DoE). We have been working with a large Electric Utility based in the Mid-Atlantic as part of this grant.

We recently entered the Defense sector and received the 2020 TechConnect Defense Innovation Award recognizing the top 15% technologies with positive impact for the warfighter and national security.  In 2021, FactualVR signed a CRADA with the US Navy Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) to collaborate on the research and development of the Navy’s Augmented Reality Remote Maintenance Support Service (ARRMSS).
